Sabre Capital Sponsors Beach Music Awards, Joins Florence Recovery Fundraising Effort
Sabre Capital is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2018 Carolina Beach Music Awards, commonly known as the “Cammys.” This Friday, September 21, will see the announcement of the 2018 Cammy nominees, live at the Spanish Galleon nightclub in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The awards weekend will take place November 7-11 at the Alabama Theatre, also in North Myrtle Beach.
The nominations ceremony will be broadcast live on Sabre Capital advertising partner 94.9 the Surf, announced by our friend, Mike Worley, during his 11am show on Friday.
Born in Salisbury, North Carolina in 1995, the Carolina Beach Music Awards moved to nearby Charlotte in 1996 and 1997, before taking its permanent, rightful place in North Myrtle Beach, the epicenter of Carolina beach music, in 1998.
The mission of the CBMA Awards is to promote Carolina Beach Music, its influences and offshoots, and the unique Carolina lifestyle through the presentation of a first class awards show that originates each November. The show honors winners in various categories and remembers the pioneers who originated this music and helped make it great. Honorees include the performers, songwriters, radio personalities, mobile DJ's, dancers, producers, engineers, promoters, and others who have been integrally involved with the music's success. The further overall purpose is to keep this music alive by getting young people involved in this fun yet clean cut music, to give the music its deserved recognition, respect and credibility, and to bring diverse people together in an upbeat harmonious manner.
Sabre Capital would like to take this opportunity, along with 94.9 the Surf, to join in the relief efforts across the Carolinas in the wake of Hurricane Florence and the tremendous damage caused along the Highway 17 and I-95 corridors through these two beautiful states. We will be inviting listeners of the nominations ceremony to join us in donating to the local charity, “TR’s Cancer Fighters,” who will be assisting those in need along with other local and national relief agencies.
At Sabre Capital, we have served Carolina family businesses in the middle market, with our expertise in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures for 35 years. Not all situations involve helping business owners retire to Carolina paradises like North Myrtle Beach. We have developed a reputation for a high-touch, caring approach that has served clients well in those unexpected bad times, such as the death or incapacity of a business owner. We are dedicated to serving the people of North and South Carolina, both in the work we do and in our philanthropic endeavors.
Join us in supporting the beach music, the sweet music of the Carolinas, and helping our neighbors recover from the ravages of Florence.
